here are the snowman plates neatly arranged in the china closet
i had to take all the dishes out of the closet to clean it. i had dishes everywhere, on every flat surface in the dining room and kitchen. notice the blue willow. i have to figure out when the appropriate utilization time will be for them, because i don't want them to feel bad, and besides they remind me of grandma thomas. who remembers her blue willow, raise your hand. i distincly recall her making me milky, sweet coffee in those cups and then whispering "don't tell your mom." i thought we were doing something naughty, but very cool. anyway, i think i should use them in the fall, say from august through november. i hope i remember.
it is now time for my pfaltzgraff garden party dishes with tulips, violets and cherries on a lattice background. these i also love. they make me feel like spring just to eat on them.

this is a part of my collection of christmas mugs. why do i have so many?
my china is all clean and arranged in the china closet
here are presents from anne adele and jennifer. and notice my dining table doesn't have a bunch of junk on it. if only it would stay that way.
well, this took some serious time. i can't believe how long it takes to download pictures and get them all in the right place. i hope you all appreciate the great amounts of digital technology i am mastering. it took me quite a while to "grab and move" stuff. i'm still not great at it.
but, the cool thing is while i've been sweating over this tenny has been making me lime bars so am going to go eat some right now. they are very green and beautiful as she was generous with the food coloring. i'd show you a picture but i've had all i can handle.

Very nice! Can you come and do some organizing at my house!!
I can't believe you have so many dishes! Actually.... OF COURSE I CAN what am I thinking? I know what you mean about not wanting things to feel bad it's like some how all of our belongings have feelings and if they are not used for a while (like the squeeker in Toy Story) they may never be the same... :)
You crack me up on your blog. I really liked your commentary on the dishes. I need to have seasonal dishes too. I need to get some of mine out and use them on a more regular basis. I am looking forward to coming down in a week or so. What are the plans. I guess we don't have to have big plans I just need to get away and be with some of my sisters.
I wish I coud come down to CD but I dn't think it will happen until summer. Love your dishes and wish I had someone to make me lime bars. Can you imagine Zack doing that? I can't, although he did stir the rice-a-roni the other day and thought it tasted extra good after he had done it. Just think how good it will taste when he has to get out the pan and spoon.
