january

okay, this is what i'm going to be making for esme's blessing. it will be white lawn which u.p.s. needs to deliver. i hope i can get it done in time for the big day, but i need to get a few more things online, (since i was too busy smoking up sara,s house on saturday to go to the fabric store)

my goal for this year was to finish old half done projects. so far i finished enoch's blanket, leah's hat (her head got too big so i gave it to esme) and my temple apron (yes i have been renting for 30 years)

i still have a quilt top that i need to quilt and bind.

now leslie wants me to knit some kind of hooded scarf for her. it,s a good thing she is not still growing or her head might get too big for it by the time i get it finished.

here is the nursing home where i spend much more time than i want to. and that's all i'm going to say about that. it's my practise blogging. not in winter though.

over the river and through the woods, to grandmother's house we go.
the horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the white and drifted snow.
over the river and through the woods, oh how the wind doth blow;
it stings the toes and bites the nose as over the ground we go.

over the river and through the woods,to have a day of play.
oh hear the bells ring, ting-a-ling, for it's thanksgiving day.
over the river and through the woods, trot fast, my dapple gray.
spring over the ground like a hunting hound for this is thanksgiving day.

over the river and through the woods and straight through the barnyard gate.
we seem to go extremely slow, it is so hard to wait.
over the river and through the woods, now grandmother's cap i spy.
hoorah for the fun! is the pudding done? hoorah for the pumpkin pie.
