once again it's been a while since i have posted anything. i wanted to show some pictures of my garden and it took me a while to remember to take them. morning is such a lovely time out in the garden. there was actual dew on the leaves today.

not much is happening here. i feel like we're in a time warp moving fast and slow at the same time. i have plenty to do and don't get most of it done, and yet i feel tired as if i had actually worked hard but without the satisfaction. i guess it's part of getting old.

anyway, here are some pictures of the garden
this is my herb barrel and sara planted for me. below are my chives.
this picture is too faded out and doesn't show the vibrant flower colors. banner and i planted these. snowball bush at the northeast corner of our house.
yam and purple flower whose name i have forgotten.
let's play name that fruit. here are three baby ones for you to identify.

the potatoes are very healthy and there are lots of them. i hope i can keep them hilled up.
i thought these chartreuse things were flat leaf parsley when i bought them, but sara informed me they were celery so i planted them by the broccoli instead of with the herbs. it helps to wear glasses when shopping.

it is saturday am and dennis is anxiously engaged in a good cause. this picture is entitled "a man and his sprinkler problem" this one is "a man and his sprinkler box" my 'sensation' lilac
morning in the garden
morning in the garden from the east. my hips look very wide there, sigh.

hello. it's been a while, i know. banner and i went out into the garden and took these pictures just now. the first one is of a hummingbird nest in our willow tree. the bird was on the nest, but you can't see her because of the angle. dennis thinks this is the same hummingbird pair that used to build nests in the garage at grandpa's.

the next two i think you can figure out for yourself. banner and i were weeding and found these little treasures. quite a few have been frosted, but some have survived and now that it has warmed up some, maybe we'll get more than a handfull next time we pick.
guess what else is coming up in the garden. it's about time for a pie i think
this is on the east side of grandpa's house under his bedroom window. i wish whitney could see these because she always loved the peonies.
