you guys are very good guessers and very good sports too. dennis and i have enjoyed reading all of your comments. i was going to chide leslie for not hazarding a guess, but then i went back to the previous post and she had commented. so, now, for more clues. i think these will give you the answer.
1. some of you noted that the person who wrote these words must have been well educated. this person never stopped learning and was very smart.
2. this person was creative. in addition to writing poetry, this person also tried oil painting and music composition.
3. though it isn't grandpa fuller, leslie is closely related to this person.
4. in the collection of poetry there was a short bio about this person. here it is: ... was born in salt lake city where she grew up and graduated from south high school. she began studying the piano as a child and was always a good student. while working in salt lake she met john l. jorgensen and they were married in 1951. they moved to castle dale where she has lived ever since. she has seven children, two of which still live at home. in 1983 she completed her bacherlors degree and graduated from u.s.u.
pretty amazing, huh? i love these poems more every time i read them. tell me what you think. love you all.

That is really awesome! I didn't know that grandma was a poet! I do want you to note however that I was the closest guess I just chose the wrong grandparent. puchica!
What? Why didn't we know that mom wrote poems? Were they for a class? I was talking to Alan about this "poet person" last night and I was saying how good the poetry was because it was so descriptive and how I wished that I could write poetry like that. Secretly, i wondered if it was mom or dad, but i really didn't think either of them had time to write poetry. And now I find out the poetess was MOM! I'm really impressed and only wish I had known when she was alive so I could have told her how I love the poems. So, so wonderful and yep, I'm proud.
Banner told me when she was home for lunch that it was probably Grandma but I didn't think she knew what she was talking about. I am thrilled to know of another talent that Mom had.
That's amazing! I guess I was more affiliated than I had thought! :) How cool that you found them and that none of you knew. What a cool family I belong to...
No way! She kept her poems a secret. Now I like them even better. I was just so stumped as to who could have written these poems. I was just thinking about it earlier today. She was multi-talented was she not?
I thought that it was her. I remember sitting by her in Sunday School and thinking I wish I could explain things so beautifully and clearly.
