julia child's dinner and snow

last monday we were inspired to do some french cooking after watching the movie julie and julia.  we made chicken breasts with mushrooms in cream, risotto, asparagus tips and chocolate bavarian cream.  here are some pictures.  it was mighty tasty, if i do say so myself.  tenny isn't in any pictures, but she was the main chef.

banner was in charge of asparagus and crescent rolls,  i made the salad and the risotto and tenny made the chicken and bavarian cream.

it started snowing on monday and kept up for the whole week.  here are some pictures from this morning after a day of thawing.    my camera batteries died so that's all i've got.  i wanted to show you the twelve foot high snow piles in the road, but oh well.

I wish I could have some good bavarian creme. I guess I will wait until Easter. I'm glad someone is photographing all of the snow. I write to Les, all of the time. I think she should be bored with all of my letters.

I'm glad that I got to see your snow. Sorry about the camera batteries. The meal looks delicious. I saw Julie and Julia but I was not inspired to cook. Maybe it is the company you keep.

The meal looked delicious. Maybe I'll just stick to crepes for my French cooking. I'm glad that CD is recieving a lot of snow. We had quite a bit of snow yesterday, all of the roads were closed and our car seemed to get buried just over night. We barely made it to church today in our Honda but all was well on our way back home. I think we'll stay home today.... or maybe trudge over to my parents for a visit.

That looked so yummy. I wish I had just a bit more time to spend cooking. I try 20 minute meals.
