doings in castle dale

here is what was done at our house by andrew and seth on tuesday and wednesday.
andrew planned it and he made a little place for us to have a fountain and small pool. seth took this picture from the top of the hill.
they finished the wall around the side of the house also. this shows the inside of the wall. i hope to make this into a little shady garden.
it was so hot in our front yard, but they just kept on working.
banner played an advisory role and also supplied drinks.
this picture doesn't begin to show how hot and rocky the work was.
andrew took his wedding ring off to do this hard work, but he left it at our house. a.a. will have to bring it back up to you, andrew. this work was sooo much appreciated. dennis couldn't believe you did this for us. thanks a million.
'smarty pants' makes bread is the title for these next pictures.

i found a large zucchini in the garden and a.a. made 'gable house' zucchini bisque. very yummy.

Wow, that's a big job done. What did you have to offer to get them to do it? a great meal? I would have demanded ice cold lemonade and lots of lime freezes. I think Andrew loves to work outside in the heat. Go figure. You're lucky he was wanting something to do.

I'm wondering what kind of bread the "smarty pants" made. Looks kind of artsy craftsy type. And the soup looks good and hot. Yum! just what you want on a hot day.

Oh, and we found Seth's sunday shoes up in the back room. Shall we send them to Batavia?

What a handsome man putting up your retaining wall. Was he just some hired help from Castle Dale? Maybe you should send him my way! :) He was happy to help! He loves doing stuff like that, call him crazy. Hey Leah's dress turned out SOO cute. It's in the wash right now, lots of drool and sweat from the ride home in it. It's adorable and loved making it with you. Hope that it wasn't too lonely when we left. You will have to come visit us in SLC sometime soon!

Great blog. I love the improvements in the yard. I am glad that Andrew perfected his retaining wall skills at my house so he could come and do yours. I know that he wanted to stay longer in C.D. for the purpose of doing the wall. I am so glad that you had this past week with some family. By the way how is the toe?
