free at last

tenny came down and her mere presence was enough to tame this computer into submission.  i am amazed, seriously.  here are some photos from last week:

i saw someone making one of these little sweaters on a knitting blog and couldn't rest until i had ordered the kit for myself.  it is called 'tulips' and is made from 'dream in color' 100% fine spun merino wool.  it is so soft.  i love it.  i knitted it from the top down.

here is a close up of the applied icord trim and tie.

this is the beginning of the icord.  sweet.

more close ups of the edge

this picture is a little washed out but it shows the color change rows which are seed stitch (knit one purl one)

i blocked it on my ironing board and when it was dry it looked like it would fit a two year old.  i ordered a size 12 to 18 month, but i guess i knit kind of loose.  i fact, i know i'm kind of loose and could have gone down at least two sizes in my knitting needles.  i'm discovering new things about my nature through the knitting process.

while ordering the tulips sweater kit, i was beguiled by this little sweater called 'rocketry' which is pictured here with only one arm done.  also in dream in color wool, but without the pinks i think it would make a cute little boys sweater.  these sweaters are both washable and are very soft.

you know all that washcloth cotton yarn i have,  well, i used three balls to make this mesh bag.  it holds lots of stuff and is both sturdy and stretchy.

this is my latest love:  silky merino from malabrigo yarns in uruguay.  the color is indiacita.  i love this stuff and am making something very cool with it.  i will show pics later.

okay, so last weekend was easter and the easter bunny came to our house and left us a treasure hunt.

and the easter bunny knew just what we wanted.  a new sink stopper and kitchen scrubbies and lemon scented plastic stick-on thingies.  also a foot pumice for dennis.  what a thoughtful bunny.

on saturday night after the priestood session we made apple dumplings.  easter dinner was great too but i don't have any pictures of that.  what a relief to be able to post pics again.  thanks to tenny for her good vibes that got my computers panties out of a twist.

Those sweaters are soo cute and I love the bright colors! You are wipping out projects like crazy! I liked the scavenger hunt and agree it was a thoughtful bunny. We had a good Easter too but wish that you and Dennis and the Fauvers could have been there for Lily's birthday party. I can't believe she actually turns one tomorrow! I have a lot to do....

I love the little sweater. It is the little projects that I get to do that keep me going. I feel that a few of you feel the same way. It is the way we release our creative juices I suppose. I wish I could work on projects all day long. I was hoping that you and Dennis would come up to SLC some weekend. I have not seen you guys for awhile. You are welcome at my B&B anytime.
